Is Age of Nations free?

Yes. Age of Nations is free to play in any modern browser, on desktop or phone. There is nothing to download.

What is the difference between the beta and the main world?

The beta world is where we try new features and balance changes, so it changes often and may be reset. The main world is the permanent one: it only gets features once they are finished, and progress there is kept.

Will my beta progress carry over?

No. The beta is a test world, so expect a fresh start when the main world opens. Your experience will carry over, though.

How much time does it take?

As little as a few minutes a day. The world keeps running while you are away: battles resolve, markets move and elections close on their own schedule.

When does the main world open?
